Dubai hosts region’s first carbon-neatral drive-in cinema screening for Tesla cars

Cameron Mitchell, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas, said that the event inaugurated in Dubai is the first of a series of screenings which will be characterized by a carbon-neutral footprint.

On the 5th of June, Majid Al Futtaim, celebrated ‘World Environment Day’ by hosting the first of a series of special movie screenings for Tesla cars. As a result, more than 100 people arrived in their Tesla vehicles, attending the screening at VOX Cinemas Drive-In on the rooftop of the Mall of the Emirates.

Majid Al Futtaim made it known that the special event was the first of a series of screenings which will be driven by CO2 emissions reduction, 100% waste recycling, and a programme of carbon offset.

Cameron Mitchell said: “Sustainability is a core pillar of Majid Al Futtaim and VOX Cinemas is committed to finding sustainable ways to minimise our carbon footprint and protect our planet for future generations.”
